Releasing of air impurities into the atmosphere may cause adverse health effect to human and causing economic damage. Thus, industrial player shall take responsibilities to protect the environment by, but not limited to establish the Emission Monitoring.
The Emission Monitoring is stipulated under Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations, 1978, and the Regulation requires industrial and power generation facilities to monitor for air impurities generated as a resulted of their activities. It is used to evaluate the characteristics and concentration of industrial waste gas stream emissions into the atmosphere. The Monitoring is also known as Stack Emission Monitoring or Performance Monitoring.
